Alvin Baskoro Prepares “Beranjak” Showcase for Debut Mini Album
Alvin Baskoro, the frontman of folk band, Alvin & I has just launched his solo venture digitally with an EP called “Beranjak”. In order to promote and introduce his music to a wider audience, an intimate and small showcase titled “Beranjak” will be held on Friday, 14 April 2017. Spasial at Gudang Selatan 22 Bandung becomes the venue of the event and during the showcase he will not be alone. Few talented and young musicians from Bandung like Sky Sucahyo, Jon Kastella, Izma from rock band Lizzie and Rifqi from Panorama will accompany Alvin Baskoro on stage. Alvin told the reason behind his solo activity was due to some music that he wrote, did not fit with the band’s format. It would be such a waste to leave the music stored in his mobile phone without seeing the light of the day.
The mini album “Beranjak” also becomes his medium to share his longing of his bandmates and friends since they rarely meet and are busy with their own business. Recorded in his bedroom with the existing and simple music instruments that were available, Alvin Baskoro highlights a more personal theme that he goes through in his daily life. His mini album is easy on the ears while still maintaining his exploration in music. Songs like “Pulas”, “Bermekaran Dalam Layunya”, and “Beranjak” tell about his views regarding his friends, his feelings, and many more. While other two songs “Cengkerama” and “Nafas” are instrumental pieces driven by the strum of his acoustic guitar. Microgram Entertainment, Norrm, and Barokah Records will help Alvin to hold this showcase and the audience will be able to obtain the physical CD version of the album for IDR35K that is sold in limited 12o copies. It only cost IDR15,000 to attend this showcase, and your ears will be delighted by Alvin Baskoro and other supporting acts’ music.
