Indie Rock Collective, Sir Lommar John, Debut New Single “Suruhan Tuhan”
Lo and behold, because God’s messenger has arrived in the form of a new single by Sir Lommar John called “Suruhan Tuhan”. The band which comprised of Marshall Libert (Guitar/Vocals), Regina Gandes (Vocals), Muhammad “Mamet” Anugerah (Guitar), Marahain Williams (Bass), Nur Fitrah Hidayat (Keys), and Kabul Oktavianus (Drums) debuted this single during their performance as an opening act for Auretté and The Polska Seeking Carnival on Indikasi Vol.2.2. The band whose members originated from same educational institution Universitar Negeri Jakarta, also have graced several small gigs before releasing this debut song. The single is written by Marshall Libert and tells about a fictional character from the future that graced the earth amidst various conflicts, wars, and the ever-capitalist world. Well, it does not sound much like the future isn’t it? The visual artwork for “Suruhan Tuhan” was specially created by Kevin Nikolas.
The track has a strong indie rock flavor and you can download it for free through Ripstore Asia. Previously, Sir Lommar John have released an untitled demo CD that was randomly distributed in 2015. With each members’ hectic individual schedule, the record has faded into obscurity without definite purpose of actually launching it officially. “Suruhan Tuhan” was initially not meant to be appointed as the first single, Sir Lommar John admitted that they actually preferred another track for single, but the mixing and mastering process did not satisfy their idealist needs. Eventually, with the help of Ripstore Asia they compile the tracks from that untitled album and plan to release a mini album titled “Kosmik” in 2017. The mixing and mastering process will be done by their keyboardist, Nur Fitrah Hidayat and it contains 5 Indonesian and English songs. Those songs are called “Time Traveler”, “Suruhan Tuhan”, “Asa”, “Summer Flower” and “Atlantic in Super Zoom”. Here is the preview of “Suruhan Tuhan” and download it entirely here.
