Are The XX coming to Indonesia? This Vague Post Might Be The Hint

Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie XX from The XX have just put out their new album “I See You” in 2017. It is only right that afterward, a series of world tour is likely to be scheduled to promote it. They have been slated to headline several major festivals like Bestival in UK, Lollapalooza in Germany and Austin City Limits in Texas, US. Indonesia was never mentioned in their tour dates but a single post might change it. Ismaya LIVE, a promoter based in Jakarta took their social media last night to announce a rather vague post about an upcoming act that is going to perform here. They said that they have been dying to invite them to Indonesia and finally the good news is confirmed. The post is accompanied with a stage photo that fans speculate belong to The XX show while they performed in Singapore. At the moment there is no further announcement made by the promoter or the band. We have checked their website and Spotify for concert dates in Indonesia up to no avail.

After North America and South America leg, they are slated to embark on Australia and New Zealand tour on January 2018. If Asia is the continent they want to visit, then it is highly likely that the dates are squeezed in between the Australian tour or maybe afterward. Speculation will stay as rumor without further confirmation, so now let us take this hint with a grain of salt. The trio first emerged in 2009 with their brilliant debut album “XX”. The Londoners offer a blend of electro pop, ambient, dream pop and many things in between. They have three albums so far which are “XX” (2009), “Coexist” (2012), and “I See You” (2017). Jamie XX have made a solo appearance with his DJ gig in 2014 and it is time to bring the whole clique to Indonesia. Let’s hope it came true….
