Warpaint Heads Up Tour JakartaWarpaint Greet Indonesia for The First Time for Heads Up Tour!

Twelve years into their career, Warpaint have returned with their third album called “Heads Up” in 2016 and along with the release they have announced a world tour to promote it. Indonesia is very fortunate to be chosen as their only stop in Southeast Asia and Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jenny Lee Lindberg, and Stella Mozgawa will play on Friday, February 17th 2016 at Parkir Selatan Senayan, Jakarta. Wire It Up is the promoter that’s responsible for Warpaint performance in Indonesia. Seven years ago, the indie rock ladies from Los Angeles almost came here, but unfortunately it did not happen somehow. Jakarta will be the only destination in Southeast Asia before they’re moving on to Australia and Japan.

Formed in 2014, the band revealed their debut album in 2008 titled “Exquisite Corpse” in which Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s ex-guitarist was in charge of mixing and mastering the album. It was “The Fool” that got them a wide recognition among critics and fans alike and since then Warpaint became the hottest indie rock band that have been compared to Cocteau Twins, Joni Mitchell or Siouxsie and the Banshees. Wire It Up, although considered as new kid on the block, are filled with people with enough experiences in their respective fields. They decided to invite Warpaint since they are in love with Warpaint’s music and seeing the high enthusiasm from the fans, it is no wonder Jenny Lee Lindberg and crew’s coming has been awaited. Wire It Up’s director, Sandri said, “We are very happy to be able to invite them to meet the demand and satisfy the desire of the indie rock music lovers in Indonesia.”

“Warpaint is one of the US indie rock band whose members are women who became a role model for many young people around the world,” added Sandri. Since the news of Warpaint’s concert in Indonesia broke, not only fans from Indonesia are excited about it, people from Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines are swarming into Wire It Up’s social medias to buy the ticket. The promoter also provides an opportunity to interact further with a meet and greet session before the concert to make your Warpaint’s concert experience more special. So far, the early bird tickets which is sold at IDR 350 K have been sold out and the preale tickets are still on high demand by fans. It will be a waste if you miss the opportunity to watch these ladies set the stage on fire with their performances. Stay tuned to Wire It Up’s Instagram for further announcement.
